The hotel had roof terrace. Appreciated that it was steps away from Travessa do Valente bus station. Terrace Mar - is simply one love.

It was worth its 4 stars. So glad we choose it, it's lovely base for staying in Funchal. Great pool to relax in too. Ordered diner at their on-site restaurant Terrace D Ajuda.
The breakfast was pricey, unfortunately.

forte sao jose is within short walking distance to the hotel. we loved the room. a huge variety of options for breakfast.
